Learn how to make the most of North Country wool for spinning and felting in this fun and accessible workshop on fiber processing techniques. Tilly Lind will show you how to safely and effectively use hand cards, a drum carder, and wool combs to get the results you want. No experience is necessary!
Accessibility info: This workshop involves the use of sharp tools and clean animal fibers. Moderate hand strength is necessary; the work is not strenuous, but it is repetitive. Work can be done seated or standing.
About the instructor: Tilly Lind is a folklorist and fiber artist who has studied textiles in Estonia and the U.S. and specializes in working with antique spinning wheels and wool from heritage sheep.
