Originally carved by Frank Foust in 1982 and given to people who were grieving or undergoing treatment for health problems, these carved birds have brought peace, joy, serenity and a sense of love to people all over the country. It is believed that rubbing these birds during stressful times helps people to relax.  Jack Taylor began carving these birds in the hope of continuing Mr. Foust’s wish to bring comfort to people or their loved one in their time of need.
