Gary Bezio
“About 20 years ago, my wife and I were having lunch in Lake Placid. We were admiring the rustic decor. I said to my wife, ‘I can do that’. That was the birth of a passion that has carried me into a retirement hobby. My daughter has my first birch bark and twig mirror, and refuses to give it back to me. It makes me shudder to see it, but it also shows how I have developed over the years. The peace and solitude I experience in my small workshop allows me to create one of a kind pieces that are functional and pleasing to the eye. I am not a skilled cabinet maker. I consider myself an arts and crafts guy that enjoys what I do, and if someone else appreciates my work, well it doesn’t get any better than that.”
Gary combines rustic Adirondack style with contemporary aesthetics in his furniture. He lives in Keeseville, NY.
