Collection: Mary Ann McLaughlin

It is with great sorrow that we have to report the death of Mary Ann McLaughlin this July.

Mary Ann’s spirit and craftsmanship inspired North Country Composer Gretchen Koehler to honor her with a musical work in her “Fiddling with Traditions” documentary.

Mary Ann will be greatly missed by all of us at TAUNY.

Mary Ann McLaughlin fashions earrings, pendants, bracelets and pins in her Silver Studio at her historic 1880’s farmhouse in St. Regis Falls, NY.  A true silversmith, she “cuts, hammers, bends, solders, buffs and tumbles silver into beautiful pieces” - often adding semi-precious stones to her creations as well. Some of her signature patterns are inspired by the foliage of the natural landscape of the North Country, and her cottage gardens.  Although in her 80’s now, Mary Ann continues to create jewelry.  TAUNY is proud to represent the full range of her craftsmanship
