Jackie Sabourin

 

It is with great sadness that we have to report Jackie’s passing this summer.


Jackie Sabourin is a retired art teacher who enjoyed her years at Peru Central School where she was Co-Chair of the National Art Honor Society.  This organization was student and community based.  It was always a bonus for Jackie to allow both her students and herself the ability to use techniques and modules learned in the classroom in a more practical/creative way.

Jackie has been involved in the North Country Potters’ Guild for over 20 years.  It is an open organization of people who enjoy clay in many facets and exhibit their work several times a year locally as a group.  
Her “Stone Ledge” Studio is located beside her house on The Lake Shore Road just south of Plattsburgh, NY.
