Groups of Amish began establishing homesteads in Northern NY in the 1970's, and live throughout the region today. In fact, New York State has the largest Amish population of any other state in the US.
Horses and buggies, white farmhouses and farm stands selling home made bread, pies, jellies, and quilts are commonplace in our landscape.
Many Amish households sell hand made products to supplement their subsistence agricultural lifestyle. Those products include: quilts, baskets, wood, furniture, and leather goods.
