Linda Petroccione
Originally from New Jersey, Linda and her husband lived in British Columbia for 10 years before moving to the North Country in 1983. Linda fell in love with pottery while watching the scene from the 1969 movie, Alice’s Restaurant, where Arlington Guthrie visits his girlfriend at the pottery studio where she worked. It wasn’t until 1991 that Linda was able to learn the craft herself by enrolling in two semesters of pottery at SUNY Potsdam - after which she started her own workshop. “The unique sensation of having clay spinning on the pottery wheel and responding to the slightest movement of my hands keeps me in love with this craft. And it is the experimentation with different glazes, and the subsequent failures and successes, that promises that the process will never get old”. Linda lives in DeKalb Junction, NY. |
