Jean Pierre, known as Peter, was born in Joly, Quebec in 1949.  His father was a lumberjack, and the family migrated to New Hampshire in 1951, where he grew up and played baseball and hockey.  He was sworn into the US Navy in 1968.  In 1974, he became interested in macrame, and took lessons when he moved to Buffalo two years later.  In addition to lamps, wall hanging and tables, he created large scale plant hangers - some 8’ long!

In 1986 an acquaintance introduced him to stained glass.  He pursued the craft - largely self-taught - and then took a two-month course to hone his technique. Jean Pierre also makes custom work in
his studio.  You can see examples online at “Jean Pierre;s Glass Studio”.
