The classic souvenir of the St. Lawrence River, hand-crafted miniature paddles have been made in the 1000 Islands for more than 100 years. Alpheus E. Keech of Clayton first painted them with scenes depicting activities on the St. Lawrence River. Today, noted artist John Miller III is reviving this traditional folk art
