CREATIVE AGING “Art in Mind” Craft Workshop Series with Kris Rozelle

Attention seniors! Get ready for an exciting art adventure with local artist Kris Rozelle.  Join us twice a month for an unforgettable experience where you’ll dive into the vibrant world of creativity and art in mind!

Classes take place select Tuesdays starting at 12:45pm at United Helpers Independent Senior Living(formerly Partridge Knoll) 30 Sullivan Drive, Canton.

September 1st: Japanese KInusaiga Fabric Art.  The captivating no-sew quilting art transforms colorful scraps of fabric into beautiful, textured pictures.  You will create a 6”x6” finished masterpiece from scratch using fabric and a seam ripper.

September 29th: Alcohol Inked Bud Vases.  You will learn how to create beautiful vases by dripping alcohol inks and spraying them with air guns.  No experience necessary, just dress for mess and let the ink show the way

October 1st: Lava and Glass Bead Essential Oil Bracelets.  Participants will take home two bracelets they have created.

October 29th: Acrylic Poured Canvas.  Learn the techniques, tips and tricks of Acrylic Pouring and torching canvases.  Participants will get materials to make an 8” x 10” painting.

November 1st: Mixed Media Collage Bird Painting.  In this workshop you will create a colorful, vibrant design using a variety of papers layered, mixed media and found objects on a canvas board to create a unique artwork.  

November 24th: Leaf Printed Fall Tote.  You will create a custom leaf-printed bag.  Grab a few leaves and create your own colorful design on a tote bag.  

December 1st: Stained Glass Mosaic Stars.  In this class, you will learn to make a 6’ mosaic star using nippers, vibrant glass and grout.  Come spread your wings and enjoy the fun!

and December 23rd: Alcohol Inked Ornaments.   

Kris Rozelle has created a thoroughly enjoyable series of workshops.  Each workshop will feature a small work highlighting a different craft: 

Japanese KInusaiga(No sew) quilting, Ink Alcohol Designed Vases, Paper Collage Mixed Media, Stained Glass Mosaics, Jewelry Making, Air Dry Clay Making, Acrylic Poured Paint, ending with Ink Alcohol Ornaments for the Holidays

$25 total registration cost includes all 8 -  90 minute sessions and materials.
