This event is part of TAUNY's Kitchen Stories series, which invites home cooks to prepare a meal in The TAUNY Center’s demonstration kitchen and share stories and memories associated with a beloved family recipe or cultural food tradition.
Join us for a relaxed, family-style meal celebrating the Season of Bounty in the North Country. Former owner of Nature’s Storehouse & TAUNY Board Member, Rainbow Crabtree will be preparing a hearty, harvest vegetable gluten-free soup. Andre Comandon, the original chef of the Newberry Cafe will be making traditional French savory “hand pies” in either meat or vegetarian as well as gluten-free versions of both, as well as Shepherd’s Pie, and TAUNY Board President Lauren French will be baking a traditional apple dessert from her grandmother’s recipe. Board members Fran Moore will be making a Black Forest Gateau, and Carol Coakley will be providing Pumpkin Truffles.
Enjoy a wonderful meal together in great company!
Please note: When registering, please indicate meat or vegetarian choice and whether gluten-free for your savory pie, or Shepherd’s instead.
