North Country Fiddle Orchestra  - Fall Session - Workshop & Performance Series

Now in its 4th season, the North Country Fiddle Orchestra(NCFO) is a mixed instrumental ensemble that brings together acoustic musicians of all ages and levels to play fiddle and dance tunes enjoyed in Northern New York.  Directed by its Founder, Gretchen Koehler, and with Barb Heller assisting, the ensemble meets at the TAUNY Center 53 Main Street, Canton.  This year the final performance will be a community barn dance..  

Rehearsals Mondays 5:30 - 7:00pm. September 28th, October 5th, October 19th and 26th, November 2nd, and 9th

Public performance/community barn dance  November 15th 2pm, in the Presbyterian Church in Potsdam, NY

The NCFO welcomes acoustic musicians of any age and level who are already comfortable on their instruments.  Instruments may include a wide variety of stringed instruments, woodwinds, brass, traditional folk instruments, etc.  No keyboard or percussion.  

Participants receive sheet music, chords, and audio files for home practice.  
Tuition: $50 for ages 18 and over/ $15 under 18 years of age for all sessions.

Attendance at all rehearsals is encouraged but not required.
