North Country Folk Orchestra  - Fall Session

Workshop & Performance Series

Now in its third season, the North Country Folk Orchestra(NCFO) brings together acoustic musicians of all ages and levels to play fiddle and dance tunes enjoyed in Northern New York.  Directed by Gretchen Koehler with Barb Heller assisting, the ensemble meets Mondays, September 15, 22, 29, October 6, 20 and 27, 5:30 - 7:00pm at the TAUNY Center in Canton.  There is no rehearsal October 13.

Public performance/community dance November 1 4:00 - 5:30pm location TBA

The NCFO welcomes acoustic musicians of any age and level who are already comfortable on their instruments.  Instruments may include a wide variety of stringed instruments, woodwinds, brass, traditional folk instruments, etc.  No keyboard or percussion.  

Participants receive sheet music, chords, and audio files for home practice.  
Tuition: $50 for ages 18 and over/ $15 under 18 years of age for all sessions.

Attendance at all rehearsals is encouraged but not required.
