Tall “Naked” Raku Vase

“Naked” Raku refers to the process of applying a slip(liquid clay) to a burnished and bisque fired pot.  It is fired gain at 1800 degrees, removed immediately, placed in a container of combustible materials and sealed tightly. Shortly after the pot is removed and the slip peeled away to revel the distinctive, unique, one of a kind patterns in the clay.

As with all Raku pottery, do not fill with water.  It is NOT food safe.
